One terrorist was killed and a constable martyred as the Indian Army intercepted terrorists trying to infiltrate India along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir early Sunday. Constable Sudip Sarkar also lost his life during the operation in Machil Sector.
The Indian Army said that terrorists trying to infiltrate into India were intercepted by a patrol party and a contact with them was established. One AK rifle and two bags were recovered.
The Border Security Force (BSF) added that reinforcements received from Indian Army. Joint operation still underway.
